Karla Mann main interest is wildlife.  She photographs most of her own wildlife subjects to use as reference.  Zoos and wildlife reserves are a rich source for collecting photographs of animals and birds.  When ever Karla has the opportunity she travels to different locales to watch and photograph her subjects in the wild. Learning about the nature and personalities of the animals and birds and seeing them in their natural habitat, Karla feels, enhances her accuracy in portraying her subjects.  Karla hopes her paintings and photographs will offer a window into a world not everyone get a chance to see.  She also hopes it will enlighten them so see the beauty of our wildlife and strive to protect their habitat.
